The person reading your AI answers
OptiVisAI is founder-led from Fargo, North Dakota: the person who built the testing system reads your results and answers the phone. Specialists are added as the work calls for it, by hire or contract — what doesn’t change is who’s accountable to you.

How this started
I’ve been on both sides of the marketing counter: the shop owner reading the invoice and wondering what the money actually bought, and the marketer who sent it. That fact explains everything else on this page.
In 2008 I partnered on a window-tinting shop in the Folsom, California area. Google had just introduced star ratings for businesses, and I understood immediately what that was going to mean: what a machine displayed next to your name was about to decide who walked in your door. I watched local search get invented from behind a shop counter — and I learned marketing the way owners do, by study and trial and error, until we held the #1 spot in Google’s local results for Folsom, continuously.
Other owners started asking how we did it. One, then another. In 2010 I convinced a tech-savvy friend to co-found New Age Internet Consulting: SEO, search ads, Google My Business — the service now called Google Business Profile — and social media marketing. By 2012 we had earned the Google AdSense for Agencies award for selling over $1 million in ad spend, with more than two dozen clients trusting us with their marketing.
In 2014 I went back to the tint shop full-time — it was my first commitment — while my partner pursued a client opportunity in the marine industry. New Age wound down gently and still serves its long-term clients. In 2015 I opened Gold Country Window Tinting in Amador County, California, and owned its search results with a website I built by hand and was proud of.
In spring 2020, an illness ended my ability to work on cars. I was devastated. My wife and I moved from the Sacramento area to Fargo, North Dakota — family is here, and so was time to learn new skills. From 2021 through 2025 I worked through dozens of courses on edX: Python, web development, SQL and database management, semantic AI, agentic AI, advanced prompting, and more. The coursework turned into shipped pages along the way — landing pages for events, animal-health blogs, a gaming-server site called Inverted Servers out of Nova Scotia. It took a few years, but I returned to full health, and I’d spent them retooling: the thing I’d watched begin in 2008 — machines deciding which local businesses get found — was happening again, and this time the machine answers in full sentences.
That’s what OptiVisAI is: both halves of my working life aimed at the same problem. I started it to ensure quality and trust — the trust triangle below is that idea written down — and I hold it to the standard I’d have demanded back when I was the one across the counter: show me the transcript, cite every claim, and never promise what an AI will say, because nobody can. Our results page is that standard in practice.
What we’re optimizing for
Customers
get accurate answers. Nothing we publish about a business is invented — the whole method is correcting records, not gaming them.
Businesses
get seen for what’s actually true about them — their real services, real hours, real reviews — instead of losing customers to a wrong answer.
AI systems
get sources they can rely on. Clean, consistent, machine-readable facts make assistants more accurate, not less.
We call this the trust triangle, and it’s the honest version of the pitch: when all three sides benefit, the work holds up over time. Work that tricks any one of them eventually gets undone — so we don’t do it. And nobody, us included, can promise what an AI assistant will say. What we promise is measurement you can check.
Why we publish the evidence
Our field runs on unverifiable claims — screenshots with no dates, results with no method. We publish the records instead: dated report numbers, recreated search captures, and recorded AI conversations, with the thin spots labeled as thin. You can read them on our results page. If we wouldn’t show you the transcript, we don’t make the claim.
See what AI says about your business
On a short call, we show you what three assistants answer about your business today, which sources they cite, and one obvious gap — free, no obligation.
